A student’s final two years at Fulham are rewarding, exciting and above all, vital. Throughout Year 12 and 13 we work with students to guide them through the decision and planning stages of their life after Fulham.

The Headteacher provides students with tailored planning guidance for their educational pathway from the early months of Year 12. The Head has years of experience working one-to-one with students to prepare and succeed in their university applications, and over the last four years has supported in excess of 100 students in their applications both to universities in the US and in the UK.

Together, the Headteacher and the students will have an ongoing dialogue around their university choices and career planning. Students will receive detailed information on the application process and have plenty of time dedicated towards extended writing and course selection. Those who are thinking of applying to American colleges will be encouraged to start planning as early as possible due to the additional application requirements.

In the summer term of Year 12, the planning programme will see students attending university open days. Given the breadth of choices our students face, we encourage them to explore the options that excite them most. Students will also have access to a dedicated subject mentor within the school who will work with them to focus on preparing their application, personal statement and teacher references.

At the start of Year 13, students will begin finalising their applications, and will receive detailed information about completing the final stages of the process. Those who are applying to Oxford or Cambridge, or to study medicine will prepare to send off their applications in October.

Our tailored planning programme in students’ final two years is a celebration of their success and everything they have achieved with us at Fulham.
