In line with UK Government guidance on return to school protocols, we are delighted to already have on-site three of our Year groups. The rest of our school community continue to benefit from our live-streamed teacher led lessons.

Virtual Learning Environment

Fulham School continues to offer an outstanding education through a bespoke virtual school environment during the temporary closure of the school.

Within the design of our guided remote learning programme, we have retained two core elements that we believe make Fulham School such a special learning community:

Fulham-pupil-teacher-interaction
Retaining pupil-teacher interaction, which is fundamental to all pupils making progress and achieving their full potential; pupils gain so much from direct interaction with passionate and talented teachers.
Fulham-personalised-learning-approach
Maintaining our personalised learning approach that treats every pupil as an individual, supporting them pastorally and academically at all times.

What Parents Say

“I just wanted to feedback how very impressed we are with the online learning. I can really see how much my daughter gets out of the interactive experience, seeing her classmates and teachers and the structure it brings.’

“I am unbelievably impressed with how you have not only adapted but guided us through this process even though it’s unchartered territory for everyone.”

“The remote learning has obviously involved an incredible amount of work and time by the staff at Fulham. It has been impressive how much school work both our children have managed to achieve over the last two days, given the circumstances.”

Virtual WOW Wall

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES FROM YEAR 2:

The Year 2 children have been exploring the wonderful world of poetry and using onomatopoeia to write their own exciting poems. We have introduced length and height and the children have been challenged to measure their toys and order them from shortest to tallest. Endangered animals and plastic pollution has been the theme in topic this week and the children have made short videos about animals that need protecting. They designed an animal or robot that cleans up litter and then made a junk model of it. In our art sessions the Year 2 children looked at the Pop artist, Andy Warhol. The children thoroughly enjoyed this modern form of Art and produced some colourful and creative pieces of Pop Art.

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES FROM YEAR 4:

Our Year 4 children have written some excellent poetry this week and some detailed explanation texts on how sunflowers grow. Their teachers were very impressed by their efforts!

EXAMPLE ACTIVITIES FROM YEAR 6:

Year 6 pupils have volunteered to become virtual librarians, who will be working with our librarian during the Summer Term to offer the same encouragement and enthusiasm towards reading but in a virtual sense. With online book recommendations, reviews, activities and they even hope to start some virtual book clubs!

KEY WORKERS’ CHILDREN:

Meanwhile at school our key workers' children are looked after by staff at the Prep School premises. They follow the online teaching by their own teachers on the school computers and do sports, arts and many other activities with some of our wonderful Teaching Assistants.
